Pip Value Calculator
What is Pip Value?
A pip (percentage in point) is the smallest price move that a currency pair can make. For most pairs, a pip is 0.0001 (the fourth decimal place). For JPY pairs, a pip is 0.01 (the second decimal place).
The pip value tells you how much money you make or lose per pip movement. This is crucial for:
- Risk Management: Know exactly how much you're risking per trade
- Position Sizing: Calculate the right lot size for your account
- Profit Targets: Set realistic profit goals based on pip movements
