How does sub-affiliate override work?
1. Where the money comes from: the spread pays the rebate
Every forex/CFD trade has a spread — the gap between buy and sell price. That spread is broker revenue. The broker shares roughly 30–60% of it with the partner who brought the client. That share is the rebate, quoted as $X per lot. One lot = 100,000 units of base currency; most beginners trade 0.01–0.03 lots per position.
2. Your cut: the override
Recruit an affiliate under your link and you become their Master IB. Their traders generate rebates; the broker pays you an override on top — commonly a 70/30 split (sub keeps 70%, you keep 30%, VT Markets style) or a fixed percent per level (about 10% per level up to 5 levels, XM style). Worked example: your sub-IB's network trades 160 lots in a month at $8/lot = $1,280 in rebates; a 30% override = $384 to you. Example only — requires active volume plus retention, not typical.
3. How you get paid: settlement, minimums, rails
Overrides settle on the broker's IB cycle — daily on XM and HFM; weekly or monthly elsewhere — into your partner wallet, withdrawable above the minimum ($1–$100 depending on broker) via bank, card, e-wallet or crypto where offered. No client deposits ever touch you.
4. Linking: the Partner ID handshake
Your recruits must register through YOUR sub-affiliate link (open it via our Join as Sub-IB buttons so attribution is tracked). Some brokers additionally require both Partner IDs emailed to their partnerships desk (ThinkMarkets, XM) before the override flows — each broker's Join steps on this site spell this out. If they sign up without your link, you earn nothing from them.
5. What you actually do: give your network what retains traders
Rebate only pays while traders stay active. Retention comes from free signals, copy trading, education and fast onboarding — not from the link itself. That is why our system hands sub-IBs scripts, Telegram structure and a portal tour: you post content, the system onboards.
6. Rules that keep you safe
18+ only. Always disclose you are an affiliate. Never promise income — every figure on this site is an example, not typical. Send only eligible countries (US and restricted geos excluded by most brokers). Never touch client funds or wallets.
